My name is Claire and I have been designing and making jewellery for over thirteen years. I live in Surrey with my three children and pet tortoise and corn snake. I own and run Elderberry Arts, creating jewellery making tutorials and writing on a wide range of subject areas.
I have written many jewellery making tutorials and articles in the last seven years. These have included some for magazines including Creative Crafting, Make Jewellery, Bead and the American magazine, Creative Jewellery. My jewellery making tutorials are also available through the website Jewelry Lessons and on Amazon. My Kindle eBook tutorials can be found here.
I have completed the writers challenge NaNoWriMo in November 2012 and also CampNaNoWriMo twice during 2013. Most of my writing including vegan recipes, jewellery making help and information and on special educational needs can be found on HubPages.
I love photography and prefer being behind the camera than in front! I take a lot of landscape, black & white and macro shots. I love black and white photos, there is something about them that colour just doesn’t convey and macro photos show a whole new world we would normally pass by. I have had a few photos placed in online competitions and have also had pictures published in The Grimsby Telegraph several times.
Among others I have studied childhood and youth studies, autism and psychology courses with The Open University and have level 3 diplomas in special educational needs and vegan and vegetarian nutrition, both with distinction grades. I have 19 years experience caring for children who have special needs as well as my own personal experience. I home educate my youngest son who has autism, PDA (pathological demand avoidance) and epilepsy.
Love pretty much anything creative – photography, jewellery making, sewing, cookery, crafts and growing my own fruit and veg. Like old London buses, ladybirds, goats, elephants, wind turbines, Long necks, the sea, nature and a million other things 🙂
Love music, especially live music. Would love to see Kings of Leon, Maroon 5… and Marillion, Pink and Jack Johnson again ♥
